Introducing Binh Phuoc's potential to Australian partners
Within the framework of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation between Vietnam and Australia, on May 24, in Sydney, a seminar on trade promotion, advertising and introducing new investment opportunities Binh Phuoc province - a land with a lot of potential of Vietnam was held.

According to a reporter in Sydney, attending the seminar were Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Tran Tuyet Minh - Vice Chairman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Dang Thang - Consul General of Vietnam in New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia; Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoa - Vietnam Trade Counselor in Australia; Mr. Francis Wong - Chairman of the South Australia - Vietnam Business Council and also the representative of Becamex IDC in Australia, New Zealand, Brunei; together with representatives of business associations, investors and traders of both countries.
Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Dang Thang said that when referring to Vietnam, people often refer to a country with an ideal population, with more than 50% of the population in working age. In Binh Phuoc, this figure is even more than 60%. Binh Phuoc is a locality with a strategic location, convenient in accessing airports, ports, located in the southern economic hub of Vietnam - an area that accounts for 50% of Vietnam's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
One of the other factors that makes Binh Phuoc impressive is that the central and local government are trying to implement an open policy and forms of investment incentives to attract foreign investors. Projects related to manufacturing and processing account for more than 25% of the total projects that Australian enterprises invest in Vietnam now, and this is also the field that Binh Phuoc has many favorable conditions.

At the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Secretary of Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee introduced the strengths, needs as well as preferential policies of the province for foreign investors, and committed to create all the most favorable conditions for investors. Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong said that with the potential, available advantages, plus determination and aspiration to rise, Binh Phuoc province has basically completed the framework of guidelines, orientations for the development of industries, fields and has accumulated integrated in the Provincial Plan for the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, including a list of key projects, prioritized to attract investment in order to make Binh Phuoc an attractive investment destination for foreign investors in Vietnam.
Through the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong expressed his hope that the two sides would gain more valuable information and open up many cooperation opportunities, especially in the fields considered as potential strengths of Binh Phuoc province such as transport infrastructure, industrial park infrastructure, economic zones, industrial clusters, geographical location, land fund, labor resources, efforts to improve the investment environment and administrative reform.

Sharing at the seminar, Ms. Tran Tuyet Minh - Vice Chairman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee said that with “good 4 foundation” are good infrastructure, good human resources, good policies, good public services, Binh Phuoc province has determined that its goal is to best meet the needs of investors. Binh Phuoc province has also issued policies to encourage, give incentives and support investment, especially in fields such as education-training, vocational training, health, culture, sports, tourism; social housing policy to best serve the needs of employees.
In addition, the province has planned new urban areas, with full facilities, entertainment areas associated with trade and services, ensuring social infrastructure such as hospitals, schools, meeting the needs of professionals and high earners. The province is also performing well the contents of digital government, digital economy and digital society.
With the above mentioned strengths and potentials, Ms. Tran Tuyet Minh called on Australian enterprises to invest in fields that Binh Phuoc is interested in attracting investment such as infrastructure of industrial parks, amusement parks, projects processing industry, logistics, information technology, high-tech, environmental friendliness, projects that create high added value.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Francis Wong - President of the South Australia-Vietnam Business Council highly appreciated the relationship between Australia and Vietnam in general as well as between localities of the two countries in recent time, especially in the context of Australia and Vietnam celebrating 50 years of establishing diplomatic relation. Many Australian companies and enterprises are interested in Vietnam, considering the Southeast Asian country as a destination for investment and relationship development. Mr. Francis Wong affirmed that Vietnam has a good geographical position, good government, good leadership and especially favorable costs for business activities.
Sharing the same opinion, Mr. Michael Sharpe - Senior Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre (AMGC) in Australia said that Vietnam is a huge market, full of potential, developed infrastructure with railway lines, airports and various forms of transportation. All in all, there are many trade opportunities between Australia and Vietnam. He said that it is time for Australia to consider Vietnam as a big market to place manufacturing facilities, bringing great advantages and opportunities for both countries.

Within the framework of the seminar, the delegation of Binh Phuoc province directly discussed and worked with Australian organizations and business community. In general, Australian organizations and enterprises highly appreciate the working program of the delegation, and propose many initiatives to expand cooperation with Binh Phuoc province at the same time, spreading many fields that the two sides are interested in and priority./.
